London Car Ban
What effect has the total ban on unauthorised motor vehicles had on cyclists? How long will is last? I assume it will be at least semi-peminant until a system of searching all motor vehicles at some perimeter is set up. |

Use GPS to tax the time a motor vehicle spends on the road. Motor vehicles are perfectly OK as long as they don't spend a lot of time occupying a lot of space on the road. Bret Cahill |

Bret Cahill I was referring to the fact that terrorists all over the world have started using motor vehicles as their weapon of choice. I assumed in light of recent events that such WMD had been banned from London at least temporarily until a screening system is put into place. |

A lot of C-4 could be stuffed in the down tube of a Rock Hopper but few cyclists blow themselves up. In fact, it's unprecedented. The thing about GPS is that it's one-way. Only the unit know where it is by looking at the clock signals from the satellites, they don't get any info back. Although I assume this requires the phone to cooperate by telling the cell tower where it is. |

Bret Cahill I imagine C4 is difficult to get hold of. Anyone can get hold of a car. |

But if you let google track you, then sure; they can track you! -- Bah, and indeed, Humbug |
