Yeah, Lewis Hamilton emigrates so he doesn't get hassled by the
"common people" but then expects us to spend our money voting for the
tedious tax exile. :-))))

Indeed and a well deserved winner. I'm also pleased to see the team
and coach awards went to cycling too.

I hope Chris Hoy will use this to again call for the numbskulls in
the City of Edinburgh Council (the officials are even more thick
than the councillors, difficult as that is to believe) to produce a
plan for a new covered velodrome at Meadowbank, instead of the
numbskulls' plans to sell the land off for housing and replace the
current velodrome with nothing. The first UK triple gold medal
winner since 1908 would not have won those golds without the
velodrome and Chris' father speaks well of the work done by the
cycling club in developing new talent at the velodrome.

Lucky that everyone despises cyclists so he won't get the public vote!
[looks at news] Ah.

:-)

Pete.

In ,
Bob tweaked the Babbage-Engine to tell us:
Go on my son! SP08!

When Hamilton was announced in second place the sound of my jaw hitting the
floor could likely have been heard from the next parish!

Was it just my imagination, or did Bradley Wiggins look as though he'd far
rather have been down the pub?

In the sitting room of Chateau Wafflycat, there could be heard much whooping
when the third & second places were named. When the winner was announced I
may have almost raised the rafters..

Wiggy always looks as if he'd rather be somewhere else... personally, I was
well-chuffed that Addington didn't get it after her much publicised
announcing, some weeks ago, that she thought she should win the prize. She
didn't look too chuffed that she came second.

Nicole Cooke, however, is still not acknowledged as the magnificent cyclist
she actually is.

Hoy won the SPOY for winning three gold medals at the Olympics. He'd
have won it if he'd been a rower, swimmer or runner. Nothing to do
with cycling.
