Default 29er on 700x35-38 ?

the zoooom Redline Monodog used on fireroads with a Big Apple rear and
larger Halo front is a small barn on amacite. Bike coats to a halt on
moderate grade.

Are narrow rims for 35-38 compatible with the brake pad swing ?

If you can fit a Big Apple (50mm is the narrowest available) and an
even large tyre, you can fit 38mm rims, no hassle, and you should,
Gene, because wide rims provide many advantages. And of course the
brakes will reach, if they reached the narrower rims around the fat
tackies.

well AJ thanks for stopping by.
Idea here is asking the question: can 29er or Monocog brake design
latch onto a narrow 35 suitable rim with whatever suggested mods thus
avoidng the inevit hassles of say drilling out $$$ brake pads for
longah bolts....
or finding a used rim for real time tryout. My narrow rims are on east
coast, 29er is west coast....
