Default Rental cars and a bike box

I have recently acquired a trico iron case. I am hoping to stuff it into
the backseat of a rental car. Does anybody have any experience doing
this who can give some guidance in regard to what size, type, etc.
rental car I should reserve?

Thanks,
Dan Merrick

If I can fit my 60cm road bike, with rear wheel still mounted, into my
'92 Daihatsu 4 door, you should be able to fit that case into any
rental car, even a MINI with the seats folded down.
