Default Best pads for Hope XC4's?

Hi,

My Hope XC 4's have been giving me a lot of trouble lately, from leaking oil
to just having no power. Anyway I've solved all the issues (touch wood) and
now the final thing is to get a decent set of pads.

I remember when the brakes were new they stopped me fine, but I can't
remember which pads came with them (standard I presume).

I've tried the sintered pads and they seemed to be ok (just ok).

I wondered about Kool Stop or EBC or something similar?

So what's the best pad available for Hope XC4 discs?

Thanks!

Daz

I like the Kool Stop pads. They are usually cheaper than most other brands,
and have several different compounds to choose from. I went from dropping
$30 per set to $16 per set when I switched from the Hayes (disk) pads.

I also use the Kool Stops on the singlespeed (v-brakes) and 'cross bike
(cantilevers). I like the red ones (no... they don't go faster, but they do
seem to stop you faster). I think the red ones are the softest? I forget....
I just stick with what I like and what works well for me.
