Default More cyclists being put at risk.

Talking of putting cyclists at risk, our management actually advised
cyclists to consider car sharing today in order to protect themselves
from abusive and threatening unofficial pickets. Cycling in today, the
pickets had stopped a road tanker and cars were backing up behind it
but I was able to ride past the lot, albeit having to dodge a few
flags and their poles. I don't think I will be taking their advice.

why don't cyclists campaign for cyclists to be trained?, they are the ones
causing the problems. If cyclists will just stop putting themselves into
stupid positions then they will not get run over.

Your source starts by saying...

"If you've ever traversed your way around London's streets you know it
can be a daunting and dangerous task - both on foot and on bike!.."

So why do you think this is and what makes it so dangerous? I'll tell
you, DRIVERS!

If cyclists will insist on trying to use a child's toy as a form of
transport its going to be dangerous.

Why would he not be telling the truth? What benefit could he derive from
it? Surely you are the one with more incentive to dissemble on this issue?
And to over-interpret statistics which are hazy at best?

How long have you been here and you haven't twigged why non-cyclist Mr
Cheerless is here?

Answer my questions first?

Really? How many injuries to pedestrians by cyclists did you see?
You didn't see any endangerment to pedestrians caused by motor
vehicles?
We don't believe you.

I believe him.

So, not only do you see cyclists as being at fault in all lorry/
cyclist accidents, you also blame cyclists for cars crashing into each
other?
Do you realise quite how mad you appear?

Unusually perceptive actually.

P.S. Dave - Bicycles are a great viable form of transport - pass it on!

Push bikes are a childrens toy - grow up.

That's right Cheerless - blame the victim again. It was all their own
fault.
And those girls in short skirts - they're just asking for it.

Typical cyclists ****witted argument. Its nothing to do with Mr C's point.

I you knew anything about the subject you would know that the
cycle training you are so keen to mandate is all about teaching
people how to mitigate the danger caused by bad driving.

Adopting the primary position, for example.

You mean 'getting in the way'?

Could you point to where these crossings and one way streets are that
they ignore near the V&A?

Personally I'd think you need you head examining if you cycle on the
pavements around there. But it will soon all be solved with pavements
and roads going on Exhibition Road to be replaced by a shared pedestrian
and traffic space. I cycle and walk round there a lot and have to say
I've almost never seen what you are claiming. It must be something about
you, Mr Dragon and Mr Nugent that encourages this happening in your
presence.

I haven't been near the V & A for ages so I don't know what it is like
there, what made you think I have?

Ditto. Not for seven or eight years minimum.

I didn't. But I seem to remember both you and JN have complained of
frequently being hit by cyclists in London. BICBW
