XTR brake levers with Avid mechanical disk brakes

Will XTR v-brake levers (BL-M950) work with Avid mechanical disk brakes
The levers have Shimano's Servo-Wave feature. With old cantilevers, Servo
Wave meant variable mechanical advantage. Not sure what it means wit
v-brakes. My concern is Servo-Wave will cause problems when used wit
mechanical disk brakes, such as lockup or poor modulation. These lever
have 'adjustable' Servo-Wave. Does that mean the Servo-Wave feature ca
be turned off? On a related topic, will Shimano's center lock rotor
work with non-Shimano disk brakes? Mar
