Default Esoteric BMX stem question

Does anybody remember who made a threadless BMX stem with a removable
cap on the back side (the steer tube side)? I would like to find one,
but I can't recall who made it.

Thanks,

Chalo

Dear Chalo,

I don't know if it's the right size, but this may be a two-cap model:

Aha! Three parts, two caps, disassembled:

Of course, the aesthetics may put you off, but a little work with a
grinder will turn it into a smiley.

I like it!

It looks like just the thing for an advance detachment of Dead Baby
Bikes.

The reason I want such a thing is to make a positionable mounting
point for a longtail subframe (like an Xtracycle Free Radical that can
accommodate 29er wheels and Chalo avoirdupois). Most steel bikes have
1.125" seat tubes, so a stem with removable steerer-side cap can affix
above the bottom bracket to provide a rock-solid attachment with
adjustable ride height.
