Default Lindsay beat Niki Gudex and Emma Colson

On Saturday, Lindsay (my neice) went in the Oceania XC Championships at
Mount Buller and managed to be the first Aussie chick home in the Elite
Women's category. I think she came 7th or something overall but apparantly
by being the first Aussie home she qualifies for the Worlds later in the
year in Europe somewhere (she can't afford to go though).

To be fair to Niki and Emma though, apparantly they were pretty close
together and both managed to go the wrong way. By the time they realised
they had gone the wrong way they had travelled a pretty long way off of the
course and couldn't recover. I just had a look at the results and they must
have nearly made it to the top of the mountain before they worked out they
had stuffed up because they finished over an hour behind everyone else.

Onya Lindsay........hope she goes well next week at the "Six Hours In The
Saddle" (****S) at Beechworth next week. I will probably be providing
support crew functions of feeding, watering, maintenance, and driving duties
for the trip home (If only I can drag my arse away from the Beechworth
Bakery for long enough .....mmmm....pies).

Ride On,

Gags

Forget the bakery, go straight to the lolly shop. You can watch them
make the fudge ... droooool.

FanTASTic news Gags!!! Well done Lindsay!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

And.. what is it with Niki Gudex??? I think she is pretty .. borin
that is! nuthin special. Unlike Ms Tory Thomas, who is now in hospita
recovering from being hit by a car last week (suspected broken pelvis)
maybe it was Niki knocking out the competition (both in the photo fram
and on the track)????
:eek
