I thought that Brandt broke his hip initially. Do they have helmets
for hips now?

Damn! I must be in the low 31% as it didn't help me a bit when I
crashed :-(

? wear a balaclava finding the B acts as a protective device.

JB's accident was a running chain of events. Briefly and without direct kowledge, seems that JB was not wearing a helmet and in facto landed on his head and snapped a femur. The femur may have leaked marrow into JB's blood leading to a stroke...not helped by landing on his head.

There was a cartoon video of the action from Yurp.

I suggested that JB do a JB Eternal Life Training Video featuring JB nutrition and life guidance as he would stroke up and down Bonne Doone.

Someone than showed up tattling that JB went up Doone on his last journey in the back of a pickup...not full bore on a TdF Brandt racer

JB did not relate to my suggestion.

That explains why, after crashing and breaking my femur, the
EMTs, nurses, and doctors asked whether I was wearing a helmet.
Probably I was wearing it wrongly...

Maybe they don't do the concussion protocol if you don't wear a helmet.
We know how dangerous helmets are and how they're prone to cause head
injuries...

Funny but I've had a couple of bike crashes and no one has asked me
anything about helmets or riding or anything. I wonder where these
statistics come from when you aren't killed.

BTW I thought we were done with helmet threads for a while until Sherman
returned. Can't catch a break.

Shoot! when I broke my hip neither the hospital or the doctor asked me
anything. They just x-rayed me and then told me what was the matter
:-)

What's left to talk about then? My headlight is better than yours :-)

Two arms, two legs, and a head? Bike shops gonna get rich selling
helmets.
