Started in 1966. Quit after about a year. Started up again in 2006. So I
guess about 4+ years total. Seems like so much longer, lol!

Received a 20" uni as a Christmas present when I was 8 or 9 (1990-1991),
give or take a few years. Tried it, thought, "This is nuts. My aunt is
crazy if she thinks I can learn this." Four years ago my older brother
pulled that same uni out of the garage an mastered it pretty quickly.
Naturally, I could not let him outdo me and be the only unicyclist in
the family. So I was determined to learn, and learned on a combo of that
old uni and his new 26". Then our dad decided to learn since he could
not let his sons outdo him on the unis (naturally). Between us there are
now 6 unis.

It's best to be specific. Eg. be able to glide for 10+ m, backwards ww
for 10+ m, etc.
