Default Scummy cyclists littering the countryside

Energy gel and bar wrappers, discarded inner tubes and tyre inflation
canisters are some of the items of rider trash commonly found at the
roadside – and it’s not helping to improve the profile of cyclists.

If the cyclists can carry it there, why do they not take it away with
them? Oh yes, cyclists are selfish.

"The sight of cigarette butts, crisp packets and other kinds of litter
being thrown out of car windows is a sadly familiar one".

Whether it's fake or not, it can help to get the message across to
drivers and *everybody* that it is unnaceptable to trash our country.

And it will also save a packet - ho ho.

QUOTE:
"Keeping England's motorways clean of litter costs at least £6 million a year to collect and could fill an Olympic sized swimming pool four times over, latest figures from the Highways Agency show.

The agency collects more than 7,500 tonnes of litter from its roads each year, and is now urging motorists to help tackle the problem by bagging and binning their rubbish.

This is 150,000 bags at approximately £40 a bag, which is what it would cost the agency to repair a pothole. Litter thrown onto our highways can cause a safety hazard to other vehicles, while the task of clearing roadside rubbish puts workers at risk."
