Surely they teach HGV drivers not to be over the limit, use their
mirrors and not to use mobile phones?

A lot of people get taught a lot of things. Doesn't mean everyone is a
perfect practioner of what they learned.

And why then do lorries come up beside cyclists at traffic lights?

Would you say that cycling appears to be quite dangerous?

Many thanks for the information - keep them coming - appreciated.

Stopping distances for bicycles do not appear in the HC ... and so
cannot be of any consequence.
(Simon Mason - who cycles at 25mph in 20 mph limits - and thinks it's clever)

when did you last see a cyclist stop at a set of traffic lights? Pound to a
penny she rode up the inside.

Every day, you ****. And so do you.
This morning I stopped for a pedestrian plus sprog. The car behind me
stopped.
The pedestrian still waited. Quite rightly as it happened. The car
coming from the opposite direction did not slow down and just drove
through. I don't generalise from it.

Pound to a penny she rode up the inside.

So just your prejudice, then. Sniping at the dead.
