Campy Derailleur rear 10 and 9 speeds
"Jean Pasquet" wrote in message news:3f4b769b$0$26437
THe jockey wheels themselves are the same, it is the spacers and the jockey wheel bolts that are 9 and 10 speed specific. But, jockey wheel bolts 10 speed is incompatible with the 9, and why : - forms, - size, - spacing length of the bolt ? I was being a bit pedantic... my point was that the wheels themselves are the same width, its the spacers that effect the width of the cage and the required bolt length. I am not sure if the 9 chain would rub the mech cage if using 10 spacers and bolts. On the other hand if using a 10 chain with 9 spacers and cage there maybe an increased chance of the cage brushing the spokes when in the largest sprocket. It is not something I have tried....but I do run a 10 triple crank with my 9 chain with no problems whatsoever. |

Campy Derailleur rear 10 and 9 speeds
Bonjour,
Qui si parla Campagnolo avait écrit dans son message : pasquet - By modifying the angle of fastener of the cable on the derailleur rear to change reduction it? Not obvious to calculate, because the difference is weak! BRBR Just put it on like any rear der and cable, no need to do anything special... In spite of the difference of parallelogram? But, the difference is not worse than with a Shimano cassette on a Campa transmission... and which functions! But, RE 700 is 9 and 10 speeds ! 8-o Thank you! -- Cordialement, Jean Pasquet "On respecte un homme qui se respecte lui-même" (Honoré de Balzac) |
