Well, I saw the new Velovision in the pub last night, and it's good. Going out
now. It also has a staring role for my BoB Yak

Arthur's BoB: easily distinguished by mad, red-rimmed eyes. Very handy for
deterring buzzards :-)

Among the calamities of war may be jointly numbered the diminution of
the love of truth, by the falsehoods which interest dictates and
credulity encourages.

Nads! I'm travelling north tomorrow and could have done with some decent
reading material for the train. Due to Pete not getting it in the post
yesterday I'll have to take my OU maths with me---I've already exhausted
the new AtoB.

Not revising the immediate locality of Oban in micrometric detail, then? ;-)

Pete.

The problem, with Martin Stone at any rate, is whether we will be
heading inland on Saturday morning or across some water. So, I'm not
sure which bit to revise! But yes, I'm heading up to Leuchars to meet my
running partner and then across to Oban.

Two years ago when it was based in the Spital of Glen Shee he put up an
event map the night before in the marquee. Some people spent a lot of
time studying the map. Of course it was the opposite side of the glen to
the event!

Maybe you should join the BHPC. My newsletter arrived this morning :-)

(I've been checking the Velovision website for the last couple of weeks
hoping to see that it's been sent out - it's good to see that it should
finally be on its way).

Roos has more than a sneaking suspicion we'll be on Mull. There
are all sorts of peculiarities of logistics that would make a lot
more sense if that was the case...

(we're in the D class[1], a rather snap decision on Monday)

Pete.

[1] butterfly nets[2] compulsory!
[2] carbon fibre and titanium butterfly nets, natch! ;-)

Is this orienteering or something more mysterious?

Given the confusions over location, perhaps disorienteering would be
the correct term..

I hope so.

Ah, I didn't know you were doing it. Maybe we'll bump into each other
somewhere---we'll be in a small blue tent!! We're in C but you probably
knew that. That's the class where you do really well on day one and then
have some major cock-up on day two.

Pete.

[1] butterfly nets[2] compulsory!

Midge nets would be more useful. I think it is N that get the butterfly
nets.

[2] carbon fibre and titanium
butterfly nets, natch! ;-)

With cut down handles.
