Default Giro v ToC and the TDF

Anyone ever seen an analysis of the top placings in the Giro vs the
ToC and then their performance in the TdF.?

It's easy to guess the Giro prepares more riders for higher placing
but to what degree.

Apologies for the earlier post - I've never followed the ToC closely
enough to know that it's more like the Tour of Missouri or Tour of
Sudan in stature.

My guess is that the Dauphine Libre comes closest to the Tour of California. The tour of Calfironia is more important to big team however.
