handlebars on a Mongoose XR250
So I understand that this is possible, but I tried one of the
descriptions I've found and kind of did not work. http://www.socalmtb.com/messages/mtb/messages/2257.htm They were saying unscrew the screw on the handlebars and move it left and right to lift it up. Yeah, they are not moving, but my actual handle bars moved and the component under the handle moved making the handlebars wiggle. I had to unscrew the handle bars to lower them to keep the component in place. Is this even possible. I love the bike, but the handlebars are very low for my height and I'm desperate to make this bike perfect. If you have an answer, please help. Images would be so great! Thanks |

Thanks I can't find your bike on the Mongoose website, but if you could provide a link to a picture of it, I (or many others in this newsgroup) would be happy to let you know what's practical, what's not, and how to do it if it is. --Mike-- Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReactionBicycles.com |

You need either a stem raiser: http://www.amazon.com/Zoom-Heads-Rai.../dp/B000AO9JWG or a taller handlebar: http://www.ebikestop.com/dimension_b...ise-HB2068.php or a taller stem: http://www.amazon.com/Delta-Alloy-Ri.../dp/B000FHENBU So choose one, and proceed.
