What I have found about MTBer's . . . .

is this (at least in the geographic region in which I reside): they tend to
be well educated (typically engineers and other techies - I am a geologist
working in environmental consulting ) people who are passionate about the
environment in which they play. This flies in the face of what Mike
Vandeman is attempting to portray.
