Washington. Victoria is within 20 min drive to Mount Work/Hartland.

Mount Washington has the snow. Mount Work has the dirt.

Well, the trails may not be as plentiful or as well-formed, but the
hiking isn't bad, the beaches are OK, the kayaking is pretty good (your
choice of river or ocean) and the skiing is an hour and fifteen away
(albeit a little mediocre in this part of the country).

I can't complain too much either ;-)
