Got ID? Since not every ride is a group ride ...

If I were going to get something like this commercial ID band, I'd probably get either an ankle bracelet, or one which attaches to my shoe. Both crashes I've been in (in 35 years of riding), my watch has been ripped off my wrist, and I'm concerned that an ID bracelet would have been torn off as well. What if your ankle gets torn off? I'm thinking of having my girlfriend's name and number tattooed on several limbs: Jenny, 867-5309. Hope she doesn't change that number. Before you turn to Jenny (we all know she's the one for you but...) consider this. If you two should ever break up, your prospective dating pool will be limited to: A) girls named Jenny, B) girls that don't get upset over old flames, and C) girls that don't get upset over little inquiries like, "Have you ever considered changing your name, [insert her first name]?". The phone number issue can always be addressed by simply buying her a cell phone. That number has to be available in *some* area code. Regards, Bob Hunt |
