Default 4 Movies of Critical Mass Attacking Jeep causing accident

Austin, Texas -- Film of Critical Mass surrounding, confronting and
intimidating the poor driver, they were spitting, keying his paint with
knives, punching him, he panics and moves, a bicyclist throws the bike in
front of the car to cause more trouble and then a bicycle gets runover by
Car as he panics to get away. He hits another car and stops and then
Critical Mass moves in and beats him up.

Critical Mass = Assholes = Bicycle riders

The video has a lot of screaming of obscenities (who is screaming is
not clear.) Given the brake-squeal sound in one of them, and the
driver's speed, it seemed that he accelerated towards a group of
bicyclists and slammed on the brakes at the last second. If so, he
should lose his license and maybe be thrown in jail for vehicular
assault or reckless driving.

In any case, the video quality is sufficiently poor that I'd draw very
few conclusions from it other than people were very, very angry.
Anyone who claims the driver "panicked", that someone "spit" at him,
or "keyed" his car, base on this video alone, is delusional. The video
quality is simply too poor to tell (at least it is when viewed using
"mplayer").

If the bicyclists were "assholes," the driver is a far worse one. He
seemed like a low-grade terrorist - a coward using his vehicle as a
weapon to intimidate others - although the details are far from clear.

I disagree, it was one man surrounded by a large group at least 20 hateful
people.
That is wrong, it is a gang attacking one person.

The only one who's delustional around here is *you*. Referring to the
driver of the Jeep as a "low grade terrorist" is just asinine in the
extreme.

The reality of the situation is that the Jeep driver is obviously a paid
stooge for CM. How else could you explain the video camera being in
absolute perfect position to film the "event" as it began? And, it's just
shaky enough so that you can't really identify what's going on, other than
by whatever "information" get released by CM to the press in the form of
"eyewitness" reports, or by unsubstantiated circulation through the
internet?

It's pure, unadulterated bull**** CM propoganda. Nothing more.

More likely explanation - they were expecting a problem with the
police so they had a lot of cameras, figuring at least one person with
a camera would get away, or maybe that the cameras would keep the
police from being abusive to avoid another Rodney King episode.

Also, these units are a lot cheaper than they used to be.

Bull****!
That is so lame, expecting to be "RodneyKinged" by the Cops!!
No, they planned the incident in advance, it is a complete fake.
Bet there is no police report either.
[CM -- keeping bicycle riders victims of the man.]

You must be a Bush supporter - denying the facts as they stare you
right in the face, and being crude about it to boot.

In case you don't know, there was a Critical Mass incident in San
Francisco some years ago where the police did in fact arrest a large
number of people (few if any were ever charged) and decided to
keep their bikes. The city got sued for confiscating private
property and holding it illegally, appealed, and had the settlement
doubled by the appellate court as a warning not to play such games.
There were complaints of police brutality as well.

There were complaints at about the same time regarding police
assaulting cyclists in Berkeley during a critical mass ride,
with one person knocked off his bike (which can cause serious
injuries).

Everyone's heard about this stuff. Oh, and BTW, there have been
other incidents in which motorists purposely drove into a group
of cyclists. Do you think it is surprising that lots of people
had cameras along.

Oh, and if this was one of the first CM rides in this area, do don't
you think some may have simply wanted a personal video of the ride?

Go check google - you can read all about it as detailed accounts
were posted on usenet at the time.

So what? So they got arrested. BFD

how many years ago was that? One person fell off his bike?
So now CM always carries c amaras around?

Everyone's heard about this stuff.

No, it is not improtant enough, and no one cares either.
It is minor Bull****.
Something teenage victims, kids, can complain about, if that.

Oh, and BTW, there have been

Where and when? got a URL? or are you just making this up like CM made those
obviously phony films?

It was not a "first ride".
It was not a "personal video"
it was a staged fubar,
so Critical Mass could have something to do and complain about.

I can't find what you are talking about.
You seem to be full of bull****.
Rumors upon rumors.
Prove me wrong.
