I noticed that the head was loose on the Galaxy last week , so dutifully
tightned it . This morning strapped on the new laptop pannier and set off. I ntoiced that the bike was very nervous on bumps and whitelines. Question Does this mean the head is too tight? Or are the bearings notched? Or is the the weight of the pannier behind the rear axle? Or none of the above and the bike is now handling like it should and wasn't before? |

I thought here would give me a quicker answer than me fiddling... |

You can feel for those two things by lifting the front of the bike up and gently turning the bars. ~PB |

While riding, you'd only notice minor dodginess in the headset when going very slowly indeed, and even then you might be imagining it ;-) ~PB |
