Clockwise or counter
When I was racing track, the Aussies would always say that they rode
in the other direction on their velodromes. Is that correct? I ask because I recently saw the following images: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/phot...is-point/33160 http://www.sa.cycling.org.au/default.asp?Page=40989 They surely are riding in the same direction that we do. BTW, it is an experience the first time that you ride clockwise on a velodrome. Not sure about Kissena though. |

I once had someone argue that the toilets in Mexico flushed a different direction. For the last time there is no effect on things like toilets and velodrome racing. However, a very slow draining body of water with no other influences can exhibit the effect. |

Good luck with that.....the difference in the Earth's rotational speed from one side of the washbasin to the other is next to zero. There are far greater influences present (pulling the plug) which will totally overshadow the coreolis effect. Did you miss my from the previous message? Phil H |

Phil H No I missed your post - yes that's why I wrote "with no other influences and slow draining". |
