All I got from this is that going 30mph blind into a giant pothole is
dangerous. The fat it was on a bicycle was incidental.

I have hit many giant potholes in my time, often going a lot faster than
30mph.
Never did It cause me to be thrown over my steering wheel and through my
windscreen.

That's because I use a viable means of transport

Why don't you look where you're going? That admission puts you in no
position to criticise other people.

That`s no proof it never happens

No, simply because your luck hasn't run out. Until you learn to drive, the
clock is still ticking. I hope you're the only victim of your incompetence.

Perhaps you could provide an example where it has?

Obviously, as you seem to be incapable of thinking, I'll have to do it for
you.

When it has been raining heavily, which it has recently - you have only to
ask the people of Somerset, Wraysbury or Staines, and I'm sure they'll back
me up -
potholes very quickly fill with water to the level of the road, leaving them
invisible. Unless you have got godlike qualities or some sort of sonar
equipment fitted, they can be impossible to spot.

Are you claiming to have godlike qualities?

No, just sensible human ones.

Like not traveling at a speed such that I cannot stop when confronted
by an obstacle.

Ah, you obviously have a sonar device fitted to your bicycle, then.

My bicycle is a very viable enjoyable convenient means of transport.
Your giant pothole seems to be rather small, not a real giant pothole.

Only a tiny proportion of motoring related incidents reach the press.
Councils end up paying a considerable amount of money back to whingeing
and/or incompetent drivers over pothole claims. I have no doubt much of it
is for more than a replacement bling wheel.

That's because I use a viable means of transport

The thinking problem is yours.

When it has been raining heavily, which it has recently - you have only
to ask the people of Somerset, Wraysbury or Staines, and I'm sure they'll
back me up -
potholes very quickly fill with water to the level of the road, leaving

Indeed, potholes can be impossible to spot when fully covered with water. So
you're now telling us that you hit potholes because you blunder along at
over 30mph through deep water?

Are you claiming to have godlike qualities?

If god provided me with eyes, then yes. Did yours come in a container from
China through a pound shop? It seems they must have done.
