It says it can be used with J-bend spokes but I sure don't see how with a loop.

I’m sure the spoke makers claim to have overcome initial stretch, slow elongation over time (called creep), fatigue from repeated stress and release, and from extended stress.

These are the aging and failure modes well-studied and reported in sail-racing.


Those failure modes don't matter for these spokes. If they ever do come
into fashion, they only have to last until they go out of fashion. That
won't take long.

Fashion is weird and powerful.
