I made some cutoffs out of a pair of gabardine work pants,
and they're /great/ in the rain. They don't get soaked
like jeans, they don't have thick seams like jeans, and
they dry out really fast. I think I'll baste a chamois
into them and maybe give the outside a good shot of ScotchGard.

And for once I didn't cut the legs so short that the
weight of my keys doesn't make the pocket hang out and
flap around like some sort of loaded colostomy bag.
