Default RR: Boise Secret Trails + Link

Well, there's this mostly unwritten rule that this vast network of trails
just 30 mins from downtown is spozed to be kept secret. Some guys are
really serious about it. I'd ridden some of it by accident out exploring
one Saturday, and one little trail by design (with the Freak and my son
several years back. Boy, the views of 2 mtn ranges was amazing, btw).
Here's a joke: One of the more famous trails is a 14 mi downhill
singletrack that crosses through 2 or 3 temperate zones, that I heard about
for the 1st time in *Bike Magazine* a few years ago. Can you believe it?

But last night my bike shop owner pal took me up on a more organized
introduction. Barely hit the tip of the iceberg. I have a few pics toward
the bottom of this thread, with a few more to come, but it was amazing!

End of the ride, we pulled out my signature cooler and rehydrated in style.
I kept my consumption down as the designated driver. Companion must have
been the designated drinker, by the time we pulled into the happy hacienda,
the cooler was empty. O well, a small price to pay....

That looks and sounds really nice!

Secret trails are funny. I've spilled the beans about a secret trail I
didn't know was a secret before, but then it turned out that just about
everyone knew about it anyway.

That is some very nice stuff amigo...
When we plot our return (hint hint) I would love to ride it!
There is a couple of secret stashes out on the Island... Known by only
a few by hand signs and winks and nods...

Tell Mr Dirt Dart hello from us!

Now that you've come back to your senses, it's time to come back to Idaho.
Had lunch with the Dart today, and told him I can't wait to get back up
there. He gets this big loopy grin and starts sounding like he's on drugs,
telling me we haven't begun to scratch the surface up there with the one
ride we did. We did 3/4's of probably the shortest of about 12 mapped
routes. There's also a 14mi downhill for you long-travel maniacs.

Have some out of town friends I think I'll take up there early one morning
this week.
