I was bashed by a soccer ball but we're back...

by page ten of BMW Owner Profile no profile handwringing only tech communications and the usual my chain lasts....

BTW to keep this in focus, driving down Cal 33 to Santa Barbara from Carrizo Plains...phew BMW, no H-D, and Yamaha/Ducati café racers.

lotta sand on the road, said Ghandi.

I note with sadness that the report skips the usual

'wearing/not wearing headgear' line in favor of 'no bicycle

lane'. We've come to this...

It just goes to show how dangerous these new-fangled 'lectric cars

are. If it had been one of them big 'cicles that Frank was bitching

about the bicycle guy would have heared him coming and could have

dodged.

Need the proper headgear :

Hey Andrew, I got a text from a friend who just returned from Madison. He says he was a block away from an EF3 tornado. He got a wake up call at his hotel telling him to take cover. Are you guys getting tornados? If so, I would worry about getting hit by a Prius in Madison . . . one that got blown through my hotel window.

I woke just after midnight when the transformer on my corner
loudly exploded in a lightning strike. Naturally I went out
for a tour. Many streets were blocked by large trees, some
had crushed cars. Saw a severed power line dancing on the
pavement, very strong winds. It passed quickly but left a
lot of damage. For example my employee's wife just moved
into a new office in her company's brand new building. The
roof is gone and the masonry front fell across the sidewalk,
a total loss.
