What's cheap? Shimano 9 chains can be found for about $12-13 each; Sram
chains, with powerlink, for a bit more at $14-15 each. Check out

How cheap it "cheap"?

Cambria has KMC Z-9000 chain for $13 each:

Nashbar just had the Shimano HG-53 9-sp chain on sale for $9.99. I
bought four of 'em.
