Not so different from the car buyer that opts for a vehicle that is very touchy about maintenance versus a vehicle that can tolerate abuse. Without saying too much, let me just state that bicycle manufacturers are aware of these issues and are looking at solutions simply because these solutions are necessary in order to sell higher-end bicycles to non-enthusiasts who are not going to be as cautious with their bicycles as enthusiasts. |
