Default Helmet Cover

On a training ride Saturday I got stung (twice) by a bee getting caught
in my helmet. I had a mild allergic reaction, saw a doctor, no real
problems. But this is not the first time this has happened and,
frankly, I'm getting tired of it.

So I'm interested in a helmet cover. The ones I see are designed to
keep rain out and your head warm in cold weather. I often cycle in 100
degrees plus so these are not for me.

Can anyone provide a pointer to a helmet cover that will proved plenty
of ventilation but keep the bees out?

TIA,
Tom

You could always get a fine mesh hairnet we ladies have been known to use
for hairstyling purposes and stretch it over the helmet. Cheap & cheerful,
but not the most stylish solution ;-)

Would wearing a do rag help? A critter might still get you through it,
but maybe not. I wear one every day under my helmet to soak up the sweat.

I can't, but Spiuk makes a helmet with an insect net covering the
forward-facing vents.

There are helmets with that build in. MET if I recall correct.

Haven't seen any Met ones like that, but quite a few of the el relatively

That seems to be a sensible alternative.

You're right I meant (some) LAS helmets have anti insect nets.
