There's a scheme for compensating victims of uninsured drivers, and
another for victims of hit-and-runs.

If you need any help or advice, please feel free to ask me (in private
or public). I've successfully fought a case for personal injury and
damages, without a laywer, and got L2500 for it in the end.

From what you say it sounds like you should be due rather more and
with a broken collarbone you're almost certain to be outside the small
claims bracket, which means you should definitely get yourself a
lawyer. I think the CTC people should be able to help you with that.

As someone else wrote elsewhere, you can'tget a 50p sized hole in
apair of Assos, the smallest is a fiver at least.

Lance bust his in March and still did the Tour in July, so I should be back
in business sooner or later. :-)

That's gotta smart. I've broken both mine falling off bikes and the
****ers hurt like hell unless you have them pinned. Still got the
titanium in one of them!

lay on you back and think of Campagnolo, the bad news is you might have
to learn to wipe your arse left handed.

Really sorry to hear this. You should sue the driver for
compensation, though. Why should you be left out of pocket? I am
currently engaged in litigation against the driver who nearly killed
me whilst I was riding my bike. PM me if you want a recommendation
for a lawyer.

plate of the driver who knocked me off my bike.

My no win no pay solicitors did everthing else for me. £5500 (I
think) was my payment for an AC shoulder separation.

After my injury, wiping my arse was a right pain in the shoulder.

Fortunately I am a very regular 7.30am man, so after doing my best

This kind of presumptuous (and, in this case, ignorant) arrogance from
medical practitioners must be a cultural thing - I experienced it
(fortunately not that often) when living in Germany, whereas in
France, where I have lived nearly all my life, it is not common.
