Difference between R600 and A550 LR Brakes?
What is actual difference between Shimano R600 ("Ultegra" grade) and Shimano
A-550 ("Tiagra/105" grade) long reach calipers? I can see the pads are different, but does anybody know of differences in metallurgy or design of bearings or bushings? mC |

Wondered if the less expensive brake has a similar bushing/bearing. The action of the R600 feels very smooth compared to plain-busing Tektro LR brake I have. Found exploded diagram of current 105 calipers and they appear to have this same kind of bearing that is found in current Ultegra. But can't tell from available information if the A550 Tiagra grade brake has same bearing system as the R600 -mC |
