Yep, that will work, or just a transfer with usb. If you dont have
usb2, its going to be a slow transfer rate though. As said before the
codecs used may be troublesome to work with. Burning to a dvd or an iso
then encoding the files back to your comp will get them back to a
regular avi, mov, or whatever you select, and those will be easy to
edit, but thats a lot of extra work and time to just use a file. I pray
that you dont end up with .mod files.

MiniDV is my favorite and most likely will always be my favorite.
Getting a firewire card and cable will runi about $15, but any new-ish
computer should already have firewire ports on them so all you need a
firewire cable, which is a few dollars.

The trouble you save yourself using MiniDV and being able to transfer
uncompressed video with firewire, to me, is well worth the extra money
compared to a harddrive camera.

I need to buy a new camera soon, but I cant afford Hd, so ill be
gettnig a nice 3ccd camera. Those are really cheap now and days.

I've owned the software for quite some time(we got it when we had a G4
mac then upgraded to an intel chip mac and when you try to run Final Cut
Pro 4.5(my version) on an intel mac you initially get an AGP graphics
card error. you delete that line in the code and it's fixed but now the
software wants to be re-registered and I've lost the serial key so I
found a different serial key online but i can't click ok to register the
software after filling in all the information fields on the registration
window that pops up in final cut now.

AGP graphics cards are so 10 years ago. Thats really funny to me.

Anyways, id just find a crack for it, or a keygen and test out enough
serials until the program sees one that works and unlocks the program.
Im not sure about FCP, but I know adobe, when you put in a serial, it
will know if its real or blacklisted before you even hit ok.

yeah, according to this video I've encountered problems in a backwards
order. So I can apparently just wait out the registration window or
something and fake it.

Instead of deleting the line I would of change ?AGP? to ?PCI?.

it's not an issue of the coding of the file now. before it wouldn't even
open Final Cut now it opens but when i go to register even after
entering in a code I can't click ok, I'm almost positive it has nothing
to do with blacklisted serials though. I couldn't click ok after
entering any of those codes.

Sounds like a code issue then. =p I said to replace agp with pci as pci
is way more standard than agp, and im sure your comp is using a pci, and
hopefully a pci-e x16 card.Best to set software to use what hardware you
have.

Goodluck, knowing me id just completely remove it all and try again.

Uninstall,delete program folder and then install it again.Put in new
registration info and try one of those serials
