Not only that, as Commander and Chief he has let the terrorist get tons of explosives. He is supposed to protect us from the terrorist. Geez. How can he sleep at night? The thing I've discovered about liars, that is people who lie constantly, is that they lie so often they lose track of their lies. And they probably assume everyone else does too, or that everyone else is too stupid or oblivious to pick up on it. I'm thinking not just of Pres.Idiot, but of people I've known. One guy I knew was always inventing this fake career; he'd tell people about jobs he'd had and the people he worked with, he lied about where he lived, etc- but when you pressed him on details he'd backtrack, "I meant..." or he'd say he didn't remember, or he'd get really vague. He just assumed no one would ask questions. However, it was really easy to get the truth; i just asked around. That's the tangled web- once you start wrapping it around you, it's really hard to back yourself out. However, the people I knew who lied hurt one or two others, or just themselves- they didn't lie and then send teenagers to be cannon fodder. |

Have you ever had to deal with someone who lies apparently simply for the sake of lying? When telling the truth is easy and obvious? It took me a while to figure that one out. I think they do that because the story they tell (their "truth") is theirs, and theirs alone. Anyone can have reality, but this "truth" is special, you know? Frustrating to deal with that... -- tanx, Howard "It looks like the squirrel's been showing everybody where he keeps his nuts." remove YOUR SHOES to reply, ok? |
