Things cyclists say...

I've cycled every Sunday from Cork to wherever, depending on the wind, with
the same bunch of men, for about 15 years. We are old friends at this stage,
all eccentric in our own way, and we natter about this and that en route,
like cyclists everywhere.
There's one fellow called Donie, and Donie doesn't say a lot, but when he
does he's good.
Last Sunday the rest of us were discussing the amorous exploits of the
footballer who's undoubtedly the best in the world at being famous, if
nothing else, and his women, and I revealed to the lads that he had bought
is wife Victoria, who has the greatest ratio of fame to talent in history, a
1 million pound ring for her birthday.

Donie spoke, wearily...

Following is a recycled David Beckham joke, ignore if you were listening =

to the R4 News Quiz on Friday (or have heard it before anyway, keywords=20
are Beckham, thermos, not terribly bright).

D&V are shopping in Harrods and see a thermos flask. Unsure about what=20
it is, they approach a sales assistant:
"What's that then?"
"That is a Thermos Flask, sir"
"What's that do then?"
"Madam, it is simple but very clever, and it keeps hot things hot, and=20
cold things cold"
"That *is* clever, you could take that training David"
"Errr, yeah, good idea!"
So they buy it.

Next training session DB marches into the changing room, thermos in hand.=

"What have you got there?" asks the manager.
"It's a thermos, it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold!"
"What's inside?"
"Two cups of coffee and a choc-ice!"
