Default power tap engineering

anyone here know some engineering detail and algorithms associated with the
device. specifically i am curious about how (if) the strain gauge(s) measure
torque differently for pressure or rotational speed (i e-hammering or
spinning.)

Torque is torque, doesn't matter how you're pedaling.
