Default a cyclist's obituary

From today's item on David Rockefeller (1915~2017)

'On a bicycling trip to Britain at age 17, he looked forward
to adventure far from family. Then a friend of the family,
alerted to his presence, insisted on whicking him off to a
dinner dance with royalty at St James Palace. "My day was
ruined", he later wrote'

Hmm. Bike touring an almost car-free Britain, vs. hobnobbing with
wealthy snobs who hadn't worked a day in their life.

Easy choice. And it's easy to imagine his disappointment.
