Default Kew Boulevarde events??

Came across this via a link from a triathlon site:

Bicycle Victoria has initiated discussions with VicRoads and other State
Government agencies to upgrade the surface of the boulevard in the
future as well as seeking regular road closures for cycling events.

The bit about road closures for cycling events caught my eye. Anyone
know if there are events planned? Come on Dutch you're sure to know
something??

Been too busy having 'discussions' re surface...I heard from a source in VicRoads that they don't want to re-surface it

because motorists go too fast on there as it is...if the surface gets
improved, there will be more spills and accidents...

Oh my god, motorists exceeding the speed limit. Better put out some
Road Revenue Cameras. That is the solution everywhere else rather than
limiting the surface quality.
