That's not a survey, it's propaganda.
I filled it in in such a way as to tell them so.

It was knocked up in Survey Monkey, you can cobble together your own
with equally silly questions if you wish.

It's a really badly written survey too.

There are questions with serious bias (for example in the 'what cause
accidents' one, 7 of the 11 answers boil down to something a cyclist
did, and while there's an option of '****ed cyclist' there's no
'****ed motorist', there's 'cyclist in a hurry' but no 'motorist in a
hurry'.

When you get about half-way through it stops asking questions and
starts lecturing - there's some question about helmets, and regardless
of what you answer it brings up a screen that says 'as a cyclist you
really ought to wear a helmet'. There's a question about looking
properly and regardless of what you answer it brings up a screen that
says 'you cyclists really ought to look where you're going'. Words to
that effect anyway.

The whole thing is like the scum that make unsolicited phone-calls and
try and pretend it's a survey - "if you could replace you windows with
double glazing for xxx pounds each, how many would you replace?"

Towards the end, it asks you which Nottingham ward you live in. At no
point has it said you should only do the survey if you live in a
Nottingham ward. There is no 'none of the above' or 'other' option
and if you don't answer that question it just asks it again until you
do.

Whoever designed the survey was a cretin.

It does, however, give you a get-out by enabling you to declare that you are
not eligible for the prize.

Actually, that's quite a clever idea for gathering opinion from a wider
geographical area (because many people will opt to provide the data but
accept that they can't win) whilst ensuring that the prize (whatever it may
have been) goes to someone in their catchment area.

Whoever designed the survey was a cretin.

Maybe.

This is what I put into the box under "why don't you wear a helmet?"

Doesn't really protect against vehicle collisions.
False sense of security
Not comfortable
Impractical
Car drivers and pedestrians get head injuries as well and they don't
wear helmets either
Puts people off cycling which harms the environment and leads to
obesity.
Have to find somewhere to store it

They will spot you as a chronic helmet denier straight away.

Doesn't really protect against vehicle collisions.

The BMA don's agree

False sense of security

Doesn't seem to cause the same thing in motorcyclists.

Not comfortable

Ah didums. My seat belt isnt always comfortable.

Impractical

Bollox

Car drivers and pedestrians get head injuries as well and they don't
wear helmets either

Childish nonsense.

Puts people off cycling which harms the environment and leads to
obesity.

What a load of twaddle. Cycling has **** all effect on the environment
& isn't the only way to avoid obesity.

Have to find somewhere to store it

But you can manage to store several push bikes & all that lycra?

I wonder how many times you can fill it in?

As many times as you want.
I also put down that I don't wear hi-vis as being a passive device, it
relies on incident light to be of any use, so I rely on powerful f+r lights
24/7 instead.
