How to Try Out a Recumbent?
Rita wrote: I have become very interested in recumbent bikes. I'll be moving shortly to San Diego and wonder if there is any place in the area selling them or renting them so I could try one out and see if it suits? The cost is considerable and I wouldn't want to buy one without assurance that I really liked it and was able to manage it, etc. When you get there, look up Bill Volk (search the IHPVA site for his name and most recent email). He's ridden many different recumbents and should know of the local shops that deal in recumbents. Among others, I think Alan's Family Bicycle in Oceanside carries Easy Racer products. I used to live in the San Diego area, but I've moved to Vancouver, WA, right across from Portland, Oregon. There's lots of recumbent riders he http://www.recumbentretreat.org/phot...m_panorama.jpg Jeff |
