I have become very interested in recumbent bikes. I'll be
moving shortly to San Diego and wonder if there is any place
in the area selling them or renting them so I could try one out

The cost is considerable and I wouldn't want to buy one without
assurance that I really liked it and was able to manage it, etc.

I live in San Diego and best as I can determine there is only one area
bikeshop with a presence in recumbents - Kirk's Bike Shop in Ramona.

There are two recumbent riding groups that meet on the weekends in
Mission Bay. I think one of these focuses on, but is not restricted
to, Lightnings.

Like you, I am considering a 'bent.

Thanks, all

The problem with any shop I've been to in that area is they usually have one
or two recumbents, I would strongly suggest going a little farther north in
Orange for

You will not be disappointed

Quite a selection. I see they even carry Vision, who have been out
of business for a while now.
