Normally the police consider a "wheelie" as wreckless driving as you're not
in control of the bike. (That is, the front wheel is not on the ground and
therefore you can't steer.) Try doing a wheelie on a motorbike in front of
the police and see what happens.

Yep, and they musta been 11 year old policemen because it is illegal t
ride on the footpath if you are over the age of 12

Hey, if it is considered you can't steer on one wheel, how do they vie
unicycles

the bikecops we have now are a hell of a lot better than the one
around a few years ago. back then they loved busting couriers but no
they couldnt care less about catching couriers. They look the othe
way, as the work involved in catching them would make them late fo
their hourly coffee break at fast eddies! ;

Maybe some of the couriers are undercover bike cops. Didn't think of that
did you!

If it came down to a 'pursuit' on bikes down the Terrace, I'd have m
money on the courier! And what about heading up the hill to King
Park? A courier would have a chance to lose a bike cop there!

bike couriers are a pleasing blend of hard work, humour, cynicism
skepticism, slackness, independence, conformity and above all, a min
like a steel trap

im biased of course....
