Default Driverless Vehicle Technology Needs To Start Out As Small DronesDelivering Pizza

If the goal is driverless, why risk putting anyone in the vehicle in the beginning?

1. A small driverless mostly Styrofoam land vehicle would not injure anyone.

2. It could deliver pizza to drive way residences.

3. It would need to be able to jump sideways quickly in case a meth head wanted to steal the pizza or the battery out of the drive train.

4. Hacking issues could be resolved.

This approach would straighten out 99% of driverless issues w/o risking anyone's life.

It could also be very cheap, a small battery, small electric motor with a short 50 km range. No one would make a major effort to steal it.

To keep the light weight vehicle from getting blown off the road by heavy vehicles and stiff winds it should be low profile with flags on rods to make it visible to traffic. Some cameras would be elevated on rods as well so the software wouldn't be any different than for a real vehicle.
