Hippy,

I intend to use the trainer to compliment my bike riding when it is
cold and wet. ie for training purposes on days like today.


Also by "eat tyres" I meant trainers cause the tyres to wear out
faster.

They work fine for that purpose. I use them but only
when I 'have' to. Indoor training sucks - I'd usually
prefer to get wet outdoors.

Also by "eat tyres" I meant trainers cause the tyres to wear out
faster.


I know. I was suggesting that with a rim trainer, where
the contact is with the rim not the tyre, you will not have
the tyre-wear problem..

Check out the google groups link I posted. MANY
people have asked about trainers before..
