Default Man arrested after cyclist killed in 'hit-and-run' in Deptford

A man has been arrested after a cyclist was killed in an alleged
hit-and-run in south London.

The 37-year-old attended a south London police station on Wednesday
where he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous
driving. He was later released udner investigation.

It came after a man in his 50s died after being hit by a silver B Class
Mercedes which was abandoned at the scene in Deptford.

The man, who died at the scene, has not yet been formally identified
after the crash on Sunday June 3.

The driver of the car fled the scene at the Childers Street junction
with Rolt Street.
