Does anyone know the number of members over the last few years?
I hear that membership is declining which I find hard to believe given that the
number of cyclists has gone up year on year.

to go from strength to strength. Membership levels are up and
currently stand at a record 67,058 members."

Knowing Judith it's probably been leaked that membership dropped by
three this year or something. It would not be a surprise given the
state of the economy.

I've been a member for ten years, mainly for the insurance and have
persuaded many other cyclists to become members after they learned of how
they handled my compo claim.

The magazine can be useful as well.

No - I have only hit my head once in 80000 miles and that occasion was
not one of them.

Did that happen early on in your childhood?

Oh aye. In the 1960's we were always falling out of trees and coming a
cropper on park swings. You'd be carted away by social services if it
happened today and forced to wear a helmet before you could play out
on the roundabouts and slides.
