Please read the rest of the article! *Basically people who participate in active sports at any level, or exercise regularly, live longer than those who don't. *Even cyclists, even allowing for their death rate on the roads.

Where?

Two studies are reported:
"In the first study, researchers compared life expectancy among 15,174 Olympic athletes"

"In the second study, researchers measured the effect of high intensity exercise on mortality later in life among former Olympic athletes."

The second one is the one that compares Olympic cyclists and Glofers.

There is some "reflection" at the end, telling something we already know, but nowhere does the link everyday cyclists with everyday golfers.
They only looked at olympic athletes.

Until the next Olympics in Rio d'Janiero, golfers have never competed
in the Olympic Games!

Don't be so silly Derek. We have been told many times that cycling is
the only form of exercise.

No we haven't. Dave seems to be losing it these days.

Oh yes we have.

Dave - Cyclists VOR. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a
legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a
vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster
University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking
and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail
to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their
lives, certainly on a regular basis."
