I've looked at those hooks, and am sticking with rope cleats for now.
The flat stainless ones just don't look like they'd take the abuse I
give them. I do, however, like those buckets, as they would likely be
more aerodynamic than the square ones of the same size.

My current buckets went around Lake Erie last week without incident.

I thought the same thing when I saw them in the package, until I tried
to bend one through the blister package and couldn't. They aren't like a
picture hanging hook. Also, there's no downward weight on the hooks on
my buckets, all the weight is on the ridge of the bucket, so I think
they'll be fine.
