I didnt have gloves .... at 8am this morning it was close to 0 and my
hands were complaining loudly ... so next must have purchase is some
gloves.

For me, gloves would come third in buying priority, after bike and
lights. Full-finger winter gloves for, er, winter; and padded track
mitts for summer. (I buy both from Aldi, when they do their cycling
offers.)
